Older people in Scotland are missing out on at least £1
million of unclaimed benefits each year, according to Age Concern
Scotland. The organisation’s analysis shows that around
72,000 older people are missing out on an average of £16.10
per week due to the complexity of forms and the stigma attached to
means testing.
